Astero Product Family
The Astero family of rugged sub-fractional horsepower Gearmotors and Controllers incorporates helical gearing for maximum efficiency and quiet operation.

Cyclo 6000
The Cyclo drive is the core of the Sumitomo's strength. The Cyclo's epicycloidal components operate in compression, not in shear, with two thirds of its reduction components in contact at all times. This design enables Cyclo speed reducers and gearmotors to withstand shock loads exceeding 500% of their ratings, and provide exceptional performance, reliability and long life in the most severe applications.

Right-Angle Gearboxes and Gearmotors
Sub-Fractional Hyponic
The sub-fractional horsepower Hyponic gearmotors incorporate a patented Hypoid gear set that provides high reduction ratios delivering greater efficiency in all models. The right angle shaft design and the optional IP65 dust-proof and waterproof housing allow the Hyponic to fit a great variety of applications.

Hyponic
The Hyponic gearmotor represents 60 years of excellence in the design and manufacture of premium gearing solutions. With over one million Hyponics currently in service, the newest model features a more compact, modular housing, maintenance-free grease lubrication, and high efficiencies. Options include C-Face configurations and gearmotors, with washdown duty as a standard option. Sumitomo's patented all-steel hypoidal gear technology is extremely high-performance and exceptionally more efficient than worm gearing across ratios from 10:1 to 240:1.

Cyclo BBB
The Cyclo Bevel Buddybox (BBB) combines the Cyclo speed reducer and a single stage right angle spiral bevel gearbox into an integral, shaft-mounted design. The BBB incorporates the strength and flexibility of the Cyclo reducer with the adaptability of a shaft-mounted, right angle reducer.

Precision Gearboxes
Servo 6000
The Servo 6000 Series Speed Reducers are low backlash versions of the standard Cyclo drive. They are available in both foot mounted and flange mounted designs. Its precision machined components maintain standard backlash ratings of 6 arc minutes, except for the 6:1 ratio, which is 12 arc minutes.
