10 kVA Industrial UPS in a Compact 6U Design

Sola/Hevi-Duty has introduced the new S4K6U Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) which offers customers advanced on-line features in an ultra compact package. The S4K6U combines 10 kVA of power capacity, flexible output voltage, internal batteries and an integrated maintenance bypass switch all in a 6U enclosure.

The on-line features and slim enclosure provide perfect protection for applications such as Industrial Computers, Automation Systems, Robotics and Process Controls.

The UPS automatically senses the input voltage and configures the output inverters to match the input supply providing simultaneous output voltages. This enables users to power a variety of loads with different voltages without an additional transformer.

The S4K6U is shipped with a manual bypass switch hardwire input and output Power A/C Distribution (PAD) to simplify maintenance and trouble-shooting. Optional PADs are available with different plug-n-play connectibility.

The S4K4U (6 kVA) and the S4K6U (10 kVA) Industrial UPS Series are the first true on-line industrial UPS that provide flexible output voltage, an integrated maintenance bypass switch and internal batteries all in a slim 4U (7.0”) or 6U (10.5") enclosure.

Both series feature double conversion topology providing the ultimate in protection against a wide range of potential power problems. The S4K4U design of two 3 kVA, 120V inverters inverters allow flexible output voltage to meet mixed load voltage requirements. The UPS automatically configures the output voltage to match the input configuration without requiring tap selections. Self diagnostics simplify maintenance and troubleshooting, and the UPS can be serviced by the customer. The standard maintenance bypass switch provides an additional level of protection.

The S4K4U and S4K6U also feature wide input voltage windows to support the critical load without having to transfer to the battery. This extends system availability when back-up is truly needed.
