SICK|IVP Machine Vision Lighting

SICK is pleased to announce partnerships with two industry leaders in machine vision lighting - Advanced illumination and CCS America. These partnerships has resulted in the availability of two new lines of lighting products being added to our product repertoire, the Ai Series and the QL Series. This will allow us to provide customized vision solutions at a competitive price.

Standard 2D vision products, like the IVC-2D cameras, require illumination to ensure suitable, stable image contrast. Each application brings unique requirements, including the color and angle of light, how much light is needed, and whether the light is focused or diffuse. The combination of so many criteria means each application requires a tailored illumination solution. The Ai and QL lines of specialized illumination products offer many of these solutions right off the shelf.

Products include direct ring lights, low angle and darkfield ring lights, line lights, spotlights, backlights, dome lights, and on-axis lights. These new lines come standard with flying leads and are based on LED and high intensity LED technology.

Advanced illumination

Advanced illumination of Rochester, Vermont, was started in 1993 with the idea of solving the customer's application by providing customized solutions and a high level of service past the closing of the sale. Ai offers training services, lighting labs and loaner services that help educate you about lighting and to get the right lighting solution for your customer. Ai has more than 40 standard light designs that can be tailored to meet your customer's color, working distance, field of view and power requirements. Combine those products with an industry-leading delivery time for standard products and a two-week delivery time for tailored solutions, and we have a partner we can rely on to provide solutions quickly and at a competitive price.

CCS America

With a world headquarters in Kyoto, Japan, CCS is the largest lighting manufacturer in the machine vision industry. Their North American subsidiary is based out of Waltham, Massachusetts. They have one of the largest selections of standard lights. CCS America has a state-of-the-art stocking facility, complete with a fully stocked application lab. CCS specializes in high quality lights, with off-the-shelf delivery. CCS has been accepted and used by both manufacturers and end users. The company's free lab services, loaner program (with more than 3000 loaner lights) and CCS America's lighting training are services that may be coordinated through SICK. Additionally, through years of experience with customers and partners, CCS has developed an educational program that will teach customers the importance of robust lighting solutions in order to provide reliable inspection results.
