New Product offerings from Mitsubishi

MR-MQ100 Single Axis Motion Controller Launch by Mitsubishi
MR-MQ100

Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. is proud to announce the release of the newest performance leader for single axis and 1.5 axis control, the MR-MQ100 motion controller. The MR-MQ100 controller is perfect for packaging applications such as feed-to-length, roll feeding, bag making, press feed, flying cut-off, random in-feed, form-fill-seal, linear slide, indexing conveyors, rotary table and much more. Combined with the power of the MR-J3-B series servo amplifier utilizing the SSCNETIII fiber optic communication network, the MR-MQ100 offers high-end features and performance in a compact, cost-competitive product.

Today's end users require not only a powerful CPU to boost functionality and performance, but also a higher throughput for entire systems. The MR-MQ100 fits this need. It can be used for basic to advanced motion control functions, including high-speed external encoder mark registration and electronic CAM profiling for many industrial applications.

The MR-MQ100 shares a common programming language with the Mitsubishi Q Series, iQ Series platforms and the Q170MCPU, as well as future products, ensuring quick set-up modes, easy programming, and reduced start-up times.

D700 Micro Inverter Launch by Mitsubishi

D700

Mitsubishi Electric Automation is pleased to announce the North and South American release of Mitsubishi’s latest generation of Micro Inverter, the D700 Series. While the D700 is designed to replace one of the world’s best selling micro inverters, the S500E, the D700 has substantial improvements in both performance and features.

Among the D700’s innovations are:

  • Improved speed range. 150% or more motor torque is now possible at 1Hz using General Purpose Magnetic Flux Vector control, giving a smooth open loop speed range of 60:1.
  • More interoperability. The D700 communications include Modbus RTU as well as Mitsubishi’s own RS 485 programming protocol (supported as standard).
  • Remote operation. Drive I/O can be remotely operated over any supported network, regardless of what the drive is doing.
  • Control Terminal Spring Clamps. By utilizing this design, the installation process is simplified. If ferrules are used, no tools are required when making the connection.
  • Easy mounting. In smaller panel spaces, the D700 can be “bookshelf’ mounted without a gap in between, and DIN Rail mounting is also possible.
  • 100kA fault-withstand rating simplifies panel construction.
  • Safety Stop Function. The D700 comes standard with a safety stop circuit allowing the removal of a previously required external contactor and is EN951-1 Category 3 and IEC60204-1 Stop Category 0 complaint.
  • RoHS compliant. Approved for installation on Europe-bound machines.
  • High accuracy. Analog inputs/outputs provide master/slave control.
  • "Maintenance free.” Intelligent fan control, fewer moving parts, more robust bus capacitors and custom-made intelligent power modules are all designed to have a 10-year operating life so that users can fit the D700 and forget it.
